Nylah (2) was enjoying her first swimming experience when she tragically drowned at one of Auckland's top tourist attractions, the Waiwera Thermal Resort. Despite lifegaurds being on patrol, Nylah wandered off when her mothers back was turned for only a moment and was found shortly afterwards in a 1.6m deep pool. Lifeguards were unable to resuscitate her.
