Lionel (85) founded one of New Zealand's biggest furniture commpanies, Hunter Furniture (Hunter Retail Ltd) and will be forever remembered as a wonderful and generous man. His legacy of 10 Hunter Furniture stores are located at both ends of the country - from Auckland to Invercargill. He had started his upholstery apprenticeship at only 14 years of age and started Hunter Furniture in 1963. He is survived by his wife, three children, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. RIP Lionel.
