Award-winning NZ camera operator Margaret (59) was shot in the face in Sarajevo in 1992 while covering the Balkan wars for CNN, was regarded by her colleagues as a courageous and flamboyant rebel. After gaining her qualifications, she started her career as a camera operator with Television New Zealand. She left NZ in 1980 and began working for CNN in1990, covering the first Gulf War before volunteering to go to Bosnia. She was the 29th journalist to be injured or killed in Srarajevo. In 1993 the International Women's Media Foundation awarded Margaret the Courage in Journalism Award and in 2009 CNN made a documentary about her called "Fearless - The Margaret Moth Story". She died in Minnesota of cancer,
