Alan (60) died after being shot in an apparent attack by armed robbers in Panama. His wife was injured by a machette during the attack and one of their children received injuries also.The family set out on thier boat the Aqua Lobo in December 2016 for what was planned to be a two year journey, hurricane season led to a travel delay. He is survived by his wife and 11 year old twins.
