Norm (42) is considered a "folk hero" in Northland after a rugby career that saw him as a one-test All Black, "Stormin" Norman was an avid Northland player and member of the Crusaders, having been part of the Crusaders three-time Super 12 championship team. He moved to Sydney, Australia in 2004 and in 2007 became a forklift driver in Perth. He died of a heart attack. He is survived by six children.
