Four year-old Michael went missing from his family home only to be found by a water trough near the family home. A frantic search by about 40 locals and police started soon after he went missing, around his afternoon sleep time. It was hoped that he had wandered into one of the neighbouring houses in the remote but close-knit settlement of Whatatutu. His body was found just before midnight.
