Blair (39) tragically died from aggressive bowel cancer but left behind a wonderful legacy after he and his family tirelessly campaigned for funding for better cancer care for all New Zealanders. His petition obtained over 140,000 signatures and after that the Governemnt announced a pledge of $60 million for cancer medciines and to create a Cancer Control Agency. Blair was much loved husband and son, and a deveoted father of two teenage daughters. He will be forever remembered for his positivity and good nature in the face of adversity. RIP Blair.
