Dale (51) tragically died in a jet boat crash on the Ngaruroro River when the boat he was driving lost control and hit willow tress on the river bank. He was struck by a branch and killed instantly and two of the three passengers were treated for minor injuries. Dale was a member of Taranaki branch of JBNZ.
