Anne Frank's diary is famous for its lasting account of the Holocaust in the Second World War and it was Miep, along with three others, that kept Anne and her family supplied with food for two years as they hid to avoid being captured by the Nazis. Miep risked her life everyday to help the family keep safe and found the famous diary after they had been arrested by the Nazi's. Sadly she was unable to return it to Anne who died at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp just weeks before the war ended. Instead she gave it to Anne's father, Otto.
The Diary of Anne Frank has since been translated into 70 different languages and is one of the most widely read books in the world
