Greg (43) will be forever known as defending notorious criminals. A top Wellington lawyer, he most recently successfully defended Ewen Macdonald against a charge of murdering Scott Guy, as well as representing Clayton Weatherston, John Barlow, Scott Watson and Bruce Howse.
However he was also a boxing fan, who helped rescue the Wainuiomata Rugby League Club from the brink of financial disaster, later becoming a committee and executive member. He is survived by his wife and two young children.
