Sophia was only 19 when she tragically died while attending a student party in Dunedin. She had been trying to leave an over crowded party in a student flat, called "The Manor". Sophia was a second year student at the Otago University, previously attending Queen Margaret College in Wellington . Two others were seriously injured in the iincident where it was understood that over 500 attended the party. The crowd panicked to leave when the Police were called causing a stampede and people to be crushed at the foot of the staircase. She is survived by her identical twin sister. RIP Sophia x
