Tragically Ramprakash (23) died in a light plane crash at Lake Ellesemere in Canterbury. He had been piloting a Cessna 172 and was taking a flight required for his night flying rating, No passengers were on board. He had moved to New Zealand from India to train as a commercial pilot and had joined the Canterby Aero Club approx 12 months earlier.RIP Ramprakash.
