Hastings pilot, Chris (50) died when his helicopter hit power lines and crashed in Australia. He was a Lowe Corporation Rescue Service relief flyer and owned a Hastings helicopter company, Bay Heliwork. His helicopter hit power lines and plunged into a pine plantation at Ryton Junction, around 160km east of Melbourne. He is survived by his wife and two young children aged 7 and 11.
