Warren's daughter was saying her final farewell to her Dad when a thieves broke into her car and stole irreplaceable photos of him on a laptop, wallets, an ipod and her passport. Warren fought a six month battle with cancer and his daughter had made a desperate flight from England to say goodbye but he had died 12 hours before she landed. The smash and grab theft occured at the South Auckland Hospice carpark in Manurewa the following day.
