16 year-old Daniel was able to fulfil his wish of eating his way around New Zealand before he succumbed to a 15 month battle with cancer. On his to-eat list was Kaikoura's crayfish, the West Coast's whitebait, and the infamous Bluff oysters.
A six-week adventure, which facebook supporters raised funds for, began in early December 2011 and involved eating prawns in Taupo, cheese and icecream in Lindale, and feasts at Logan Brown's restaurant in Wellington and the Euro restaurant in Auckland..
