Ngatea vet, Bram (38), died following a skiing accident on the Whakapapa Ski Field. He collided with a pole which supported an operator's hut which caused fatal injuries which he died in hospital from later the same day. A Dutch national, he had also worked as a vet also in Te Awamutu and at a practice in Morrinsville and spent many years in New Zealand. He had also previously travelled through Uganda doing voluntary work. Bram and his kiwi partner lived on a lifestyle block in Paeroa.
