A hunting trip turned to tragedy for Dougal (23) when he was fatally shot in the back of the head. A farm worker and keen outdoors man, he was with two friends at Mount Bourke Station when they decided to go rabbit shooting but spotted a deer and the tragedy unfolded. He was shot once in the back of the head and died at the scene in the early hours of the morning.
