Tom (18) was struck by a truck while riding his motorcycle and the driver failed to stop and give assistance, he did not admit his involvement in the crash until about six weeks later. Sadly Tom was struck again by the next vehicle on the road. Tom was described as " a handsome, intelligent, admirable young man with a serious passion for life" Otago Daily Times 2nd September 2010
