Severely disabled TV star Michelle appeared, in a series of documentaries, about her life and created public debate about the rights of disabled people. Known to many as Shelly West, Michelle's first documentary was called "Miles and Shelly Go Flatting" followed by 'Shelly has a Baby" which told of the conception and birth of her daughter. As a small child Michelle was crippled with rheumatoid arthritis then lost her sight as a teen from the side effects of her medication. Michelle is survived by her husband and daughter.
