Gurshan (3) disappeared from a house in north Melbourne, Australia where his family, who were visiting from Punjab in India were staying. His body was found six hours later 30km away, in long grass near the Melbourne airport. Mystery surrounded the death, despite the arrest of a housemate of the family who admitted placing the unconscious boy in his car boot and dumping him by a roadside. He admitted accidently knocking Gurshan when opening the front door, then panicked when his car ran out petro while taking the unconscious boy to the hospital l. Fearing he would be charged with murder if approached by police, he dumped Gurshan's body and fled the scene.
