Family are being sought for Molia (Joe) Sio (69) who died without them knowing. His service and cremation was held over a month after his death as police and friends, despite an extensive search, could not locate a single family member. It is believed he may have two children living in Australia. He was known through the Cossie Club, Onehunga RSA and also the Samoan Seventh Day Adventist Church. It is thought he was born in Aleipata, Samoa and migrated to NZ in 1964.
Joe's ashes are held by the funeral home where his family can collect them "no questions asked" said the funeral director.
