Popular midwife Tai (40) was on her way to work when she tragically died in a two vehicle crash
at the intersection of Sandy Knolls Rd and West Coast Rd, near West Melton. She had had tickets to Disneyland in her car and the visit was planned after a trip to the UK later in June. Tai was born in the UK and moved to New Zealand in 2009 working in Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. In 2017 she and her family relocated to Canterbury. She is survived by her husband and two young daughters. RIP Tai.
