The second welding fatality in as many weeks claimed the life of 54 year old Hamiltonian Kenneth. He was fatallly struck when a disused petroleum tank he was dismantling with welding gear exploded and he was struck by the flying lid. On 4th September 2009 Kieran Hudson (21) was tragically killed when a bitumen tank exploded while safety improvements were being undertaken on the West Coast.
