Dynamic All Black (1949-1956), Gisborne Mayor (1977-83) and Cook Hospital board member and chairman (24 years) Richard “Tiny” was a man who was committed to serving his country and community. He served in apporx 50 voluntary organisations including the Queen Elizabeth II National Trust and the Order of St John. He was made a Companion of the Queen’s Service Order (QSO) for public service in 1998. He is survived by his wife and five children.
