Amber (19) tragically died when the car she was driving collided with a truck and became wedged under it. Three vehicles were involved in the crash. The accident occured on State Highway 2, near Hastings, at Pakipaki. Her sister has described her as a beautiful, kind and strong-willed young woman. She was the eldest of six children and had attended Central Hawkes Bay College and had wanted to become a Nanny.
