Terrorist attacks on several Jakarta hotels claimed the life of New Zealander Tim Mackay, president director of Holcium cement in Jakarta since 2004. Tim was at the Marriott Hotel for a business meeting when a bomb exploded. It is thought that the bombs were carried into the hotels by suicide bombers. A well known and respected West Coast figure, he leaves behind two children.
