Anaru (40) tragically died from bowel cancer after being diagnosed with the disease in September 2017. A strong advocate for rasiing awareness, particualrly in Maori and Pacific people who are more likely to die from it, and screening for it for those under 50 years of age. He was a communciations and marketing profressional, taught te reo Maori and was a father of four. RIP Anaru.
