- Country:New Zealand

On April 25th we remember the soldiers who fought and those who died on the shores of the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915. Anzac Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces (ANZAC's) during the First World War, where 2721 New Zealanders lost their lives. Although this day does not mark a military triumph it does remind us of a very important episode in New Zealand's history and defines us as a nation built on tenacity, bravery and above all loyalty.
