Eoin tragically died in the devastating Christchurch Earthquake. A psychiatric nurse, Owen was on his way to the supermarket when the 6.4 quake hit the city and a building fell on the car he was travelling in. He had migrated from Ireland six years earlier and is survived by his wife and two young children.
