Joshua (20) tragically died in a mid-air collision just 90m above ground. The accident happened just minutes after he had dropped off three skydivers. The pilot of the other plane, Craig McBride (66) also died at the scene. Joshua was was a licensed pilot who had been flying jump planes for Skydive Wellington and it was the second flight he had made that day. He had recently gained his commercial poilot's livcence from the International Aviation Academy of New Zealand in Christchurch. It is beleived the other pilot was doing solo practiice at the time.
