Kiwi soldier, Jack (22), was killed by friendly fire while fighting in Afghanistan. The former Wellington College student was fighting with the British army when he was killed during a US air strike called in to support his unit. Weather conditions were poor following a sandstorm and the haze led to low visibility, Two other British soldiers were also injured in the incident. It was his second tour of Afghanistan.
